Overview
The Great Commission of Mt. 28:18-20 has two components that are part of making disciples. One part is getting them started as a disciple (that’s what “baptizing” refers to). The other part is taking disciples deeper in their faith and commitment (that’s what “teaching them to observe” refers to). The mature believer is involved in both those parts. The mature congregation is one involved in both parts, both locally and far away. That’s our mission.
